Pregnancy

Pelvic physiotherapy can address a number of symptoms you may be experiencing during pregnancy

  • Leakage

  • Pelvic Pain

  • Painful Sex

  • Pregnancy Safe Exercise Guidance

Managing symptoms during pregnancy can help to reduce their persistence in the postpartum period. Typically I reserve any internal examination of the pelvic floor muscles for the second and third trimester.

Labour Preparation

We can work together to help prepare you for labour and delivery, whatever that may look like for your. Vaginal delivery or C-section we will review strategies for preparing for delivery and the early postpartum period. This may include

  • Pelvic floor exercises for labour (not just kegels!)

  • Positions and strategies for pushing

  • Guidance for early postpartum exercise (no matter how you deliver)
